HEATH LEDGER IS DEAD!

OMFG!!!

NEW YORK – A New York Police Department spokesman says the actor Heath Ledger has been found dead at a downtown Manhattan residence.

According to TMZ.com, Ledger, 28, was found dead in his bed in one of his residences in Soho by his housekeeper at 3:35 p.m. ET Tuesday.

The actor has a two-year-old daughter with former fiancee Michelle Williams. Ledger was set to play the Joker in the upcoming Batman film “The Dark Knight.” He received an Academy Award nomination for his work in “Brokeback Mountain.”

In the FINAL, FINAL scene of the film we see Beth and Rob on a Ferris wheel at Coney Island. He pans the camera to his left to shoot the ocean and if you look to the far right of the screen you will see what appears to be the monster falling out of the sky and into the water. IN AN UPDATE: B-D reader ‘afireinside’ tells us, “JJ stated himself that the monster has been down at the bottom of the ocean for thousands of years. What fell into the ocean at the end of the movie was a satellite. If you pay attention to the viral marketing, Taragutu’s site states that one of their satellites fell out of orbit and was lost. This is what woke up the monster from its dormant state.” You be the judge….In addition, at the end of the credits an audio clip reveals that the monster is not yet dead.

To me…that sounds kind of like Cthulhu…not completely, just kinda…

Sabretooth, Silver Fox, and Stryker

It has been reported that Liev Schreiber will play Sabretooth in the upcoming X-Men Origins film.  Originally he was going to be playing the younger William Stryker.  Michael C. Hall is now rumored to play Stryker, while Michelle Monaghan is the front runner for Silver Fox.I am very interested in this film and will keep us all updated as much as I can.

Dukes of Hazard- Possible New Movie or TV Show

This has yet to be totally confirmed, but I have spotted film crews around South Florida and among their sets have seen several of these guys: 

Now, I’m not saying with any authority that they are making a new show or movie or commercial or something, but, it’s pretty obvious that’s what they’re doing.  My friends and I drove into one of the spots where they were doing some filming, and after being told it was a closed set, we asked if they needed extras.  After a few hopeful moments where we were led to believe they were going to use us, they came back with a “No, we have all the extras we need, we needed them an hour ago”.  Oh well!But, remember, you heard it here first, at FlickRabbit.com!  We have some video footage that we’ll upload later, for now, we’ll be persistent and try again tomorrow to get on the set.  Keep an eye out, boys and girls.

Well, I guess this would be a bad time to go to New Zealand, one of my top spots for travel.  Although if I did go I wouldn’t mind enduring the lack of a Queenstown Funcentre for a possible run-in with Hugh Jackman. Thanks MovieWeb!

The Otago Daily Times reports that Queenstown, New Zealand may be preparing itself for Hollywood fever as filming for Hollywood blockbuster X-Men Origins: Wolverine nears, but one group of Queenstown residents has been left high and, quite literally, dry, with the production studio renting the Queenstown Fun Centre. The newspaper has learned that the ice was taken off the rink recently and the surface will remain dry possibly until March, as the Fun Centre may be earning as much as $4000 a week for the rental. While it may be an excellent business decision, Queenstown’s ice hockey players and management are miffed at the call. Ice Blacks hockey manager Charlie Reid, of Queenstown, said he was told before Christmas the ice would be taken off for up to three months. There are 10 Queenstown ice hockey players due to head into their final training camp in Auckland at the end of this month, vying for selection in the New Zealand ice hockey team to compete in the division 2 World Championships in Australia in April.

 

 

Cloverfield TV Spot

According to MovieWeb.com, this is one of the last TV spots we’ll see before it’s release.  It doesn’t shed much more light on the subject but it sure does keep us interested… 

Watch it here (because wordpress won’t let me embed it ) Apparently the subways are not safe either…this probably is a confirmation of those smaller monsters in the movie.

BREAKING NEWS: IMAGE OF CLOVERFIELD MONSTER, OR SUPER NINJA TURTLE?! (POSSIBLE SPOILER)

A supposed Cloverfield monster toy has suddenly surfaced on the web.  The creator of the toy is Peter Konig, who is the art director for Cloverfield.  This might be what has us all on edge.  Looks like my brother may have been right-his theory of a mutant turtle might be spot on, if this is indeed our Cloverfield monster.

Hollywood Stars To Boycott Golden Globes

Hollywood stars like Julia Roberts, Keira Knightley and Johnny Depp look set to boycott this Sunday’s Golden Globes ceremony to show their support to striking writers. Actors represented by the Screen Actors’ Guild (SAG) are in “unanimous agreement” not to ignore the plight of the Writers Guild of America union members, who are picketing over royalties. Announcing the union’s decision on Friday, SAG president, Alan Rosenberg, said, “After considerable outreach to Golden Globe actor nominees and their representatives over the past several weeks, there appears to be unanimous agreement that these actors will not cross WGA (Writers’ Guild of America) picket lines.” In response to the boycott action, the WGA members thanked the SAG for its “solidarity and support.” Other stars nominated for gongs at the prestigious ceremony include George Clooney,John Travolta, Denzel Washington, Cate Blanchett and Jodie Foster - all of whom are unlikely to appear at the awards show if the WGA members do not reach an agreement with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which organizes the Golden Globes, in time for next Sunday. Knightley, who is up for Best Actress for her starring role in Atonement, is particularly supportive of the strike, because of her playwright mother, Sharman Macdonald. A representative for the British beauty confirms: “If the strike is still in place then Keira won’t cross a picket line as her mother is a writer.”

Cloverfield Monster Clues

A new video has surfaced on the Jamie and Teddy website. For those following all of the Cloverfield tie-in videos, this new two-minute clip holds one of the biggest clues yet. A lot of people have speculated that Slusho contains a secret ingredient that turns animals and people into hideous, town devouring creatures. Jamie’s new love Teddy has been kidnapped by the Tagruato Corporation. He has sent Jamie the secret Slusho ingredient with a warning that she shouldn’t consume it. In this video, she does just that…So, what does this mean? Is Jamie the Cloverfield monster? She has her own myspace page, and she is directly tied into the viral advertising. But she doesn’t seem to be listed as part of the cast. Hmm? This is harder to follow than a Japanese soap opera without subtitles. Check out the video here.
